How Quickly Can You Work Out?

This week: exercise for people on-the-go!

Even though I exercise for 10-15 hours per week, there are some days on which I only exercise for 10 minutes.

Today, we will talk about exercising efficiently.

The Big Picture 🖼

This is my ‘go-to’ 10-minute workout:

2 Rounds of:

  • 15 Pull-ups

  • 15 Dips

  • 30 Push-ups

  • 50 Squats

That’s it. It’s dead simple.

It can be done anywhere, and it will get you very strong if done consistently.

In 10 minutes.

However, there’s another, more important reason why this is my ‘go-to’ 10-minute workout:

I love it.

I have an affinity for calisthenics and their benefits.

Some people - maybe you - would find this workout boring.

If you don’t enjoy it, you won’t stick to it.

Today’s topic, as simply as possible:

“Things we enjoy are easy to repeat.”

There’s Lots To Love ❤️

I don’t make people training plans until I’ve had the chance to talk to them a bit and find out what they love to do.

Good news: there’s lots to love.

You may not love it at first.

But, stick with it long enough and you will love the way exercise makes you feel.

The key is getting it to stick.

Lots of people tell me they don’t have time to work out.

If that’s you, start small.

Make a plan you are ready, willing, and able to stick to it 90% of the time.

That could mean …

  • 5 minutes of kettlebell swings 4x/week.

  • 20 minutes of walking in nature daily.

  • 45 minutes in a gym 3x/week.

  • Parking your car ½ mile from your office.

  • Playing basketball once a week.

  • Taking work calls while walking.

  • Training for a 5K.

… and much more.

I will be posting additional training resources in them this week.
