What matters at the supermarket ... and what doesn't?

Have you ever found yourself staring at a wall of options in your local supermarket or club store, having no idea which option to purchase, feeling pressed for time?

The Big Picture 🖼️
Several things matter when it comes to making food purchasing decisions, such as:
What is it for / why are you buying this?
Do you like it?
Will you eat it consistently?
How often will you eat it? (The dose.)
What are the ingredients?
What are the attributes? (i.e. Organic, gluten-free, etc.)
What are the manufacturer’s standards? (i.e. Animal, social, environmental, etc.)
What’s the relative price, apples to apples?
Also, several things may not matter at all … or at least they don’t matter nearly as much as some influencers might scare you into believing.

In the event that you don’t watch that whole video, no worries.
Bluntly put, if you have consistently poor eating habits, then panicking about a protein drink having 0.05% of carrageenan in it is NOT what matters most.
What matters most is establishing consistently better & better eating habits.
Which of course, I write newsletters about every week.
And have this FREE community with coaching and mini-courses on for.
Yes, I’m a fan of purchasing foods which are minimally processed, organic, sustainable, good for the planet, free of unecessary added ingredients, grass-fed, and so forth …
… and I understand the food industry better than most, because I’ve worked in it for 25+ years …
… so I know that every brand & product could become a potential rabbit hole of investigation.
And I’m also a fan of practicality.
Get consistent with your basics first.
Then make time to learn more about the business and science of food later, once your health is on track.
More on this topic to come soon.

A simple word, phrase, or thought to take with you:
You already know which foods are healthy. Eat more of them.
